MISSION STATEMENT
To offer professional grocery shopping and delivery to our customers and community with honesty, integrity and transparency. Our focus is to ensure our customers' satisfaction by supplying up-front pricing and protecting their safety by only using trained professionals to shop for the freshest products with the convenience of home or business delivery. We strive to help our environment and community by giving back through our 501 (c)(3) non-profit charity.
ABOUT US
Based in the Tampa Bay Area, our locally owned and operated online shopping and delivery service is committed to the grocery shopping needs of our customers and the professional home delivery of food. We shop and deliver to your place at the time scheduled, promptly and professionally. We will shop at any store of your choice and offer our food delivery service from any retailer, including restaurant delivery. We deliver from organic stores, drug stores, health food stores, meat markets, delis, fresh fruit and vegetable farmers markets, corner stores, super stores, grocery stores... and the list goes on. Your choices are endless. We also offer free prescription pickup, with any regular order, even if the prescription is from a pharmacy at a different location. We believe prescription costs are too high and we will not add to that expense. So when we say free, we mean Free.
We are professional shoppers; we are not restricted by shopping at a single supermarket chain or online store with limited selection. We make sure the groceries delivered are fresh from your favorite grocery store. Selection varies, so you pick the store, and we will take care of your food delivery. Online grocery shopping is easy. Don't be fooled by companies that mark up the price of the items and offer a low delivery rate or an annual fee. They are hiding pure profit in the price you are charged for items. All of our fees are clearly listed on the pricing page when you select your delivery area BEFORE you place an order, not after you get the bill. We also supply a cash register receipt from the store(s), so there is never a question as to the price you pay for of the products. The only reason a company would not give the store receipt is so they can hide the inflated cost they charge you. We are honest and upfront with our customers. The trend with other companies is to offer a deceptive low cost delivery charge and secretly mark up the products.
One company that delivers in this area states "...prices vary from in-store prices by an average of $5 on a $35 order. We think you'll actually save money..." When checked, the mark-ups were up to 80%. Which is $28 on a $35 order, or $63 for $35 worth of products...Ouch!
Another company states "All prices ... are based on the prices set by the retailer... Where the prices indicate that they are higher than in-store, the price of an item is based on the price set by the retailer, upon which (the delivery company) may add a standard mark-up to partially cover the cost of delivery to you." We found an everyday item that would cost the customer 225% more if delivered than, if the customer purchased the same item in the store.
WeDeliverGroceries.com charges the cost of the goods as they are in the store. You are given a store receipt to verify the prices and to ensure you get the savings from any sales or discounts. We charge a flat delivery charge and shopping fee. It may be more profitable to pretend the cost is low while secretly marking up the products to ridiculous levels, but our integrity is too valuable. The trust that we build with you, our customers, is more important than the extra money we would make from using bait and switch tactics.
We value the safety and security of our customers, so we only use trained professional shoppers. We screen and run background checks on all of our professional shoppers. In a time when other companies use crowd-sourcing, the people doing the deliveries for those companies don't work for the retailer or delivery company. At best, they are gig workers; at worst they could have ulterior motives in wanting to come into your home. Most are good people, just looking to make a couple of bucks or using these companies as a second or third job to get by. But it only takes one dangerous person to change your life forever. We make sure that every WeDeliverGroceries.com employee is safe and has your best interest at heart. On a side note, one company actually advertised to entice drivers to sign up with the slogan "Get Your Side-Hustle On!" Personally, we would never hire a person to "get their hustle on" - side or main hustle. We have deep respect for our customers well being and security. Our Professional Shoppers are professionals, not hustlers.
We accept all forms of payment including cash, checks, and credit cards. We will not take your credit card information online. We scan your card at the door, or will call you for verbal authorization for gift purchases. With hackers looking at online retailers for access to credit cards, we choose to be safe by not collecting the data they are looking for; it's for your security and ours.
Being locally owned we are not restricted by corporate mandates dictated from a headquarters located in some other state. We are based in this area. We live here, we play here, we raise our families here, we contribute to the community, and yes, we work here. We work for you, so tell us what you want or need and where you would like to purchase it, and we will take care of your home grocery delivery. Grocery shopping made easy and convenient, because we take care of the hard part. It also makes a great gift for family, friends and loved ones.
Grocery delivery has become big business in recent years. It is estimated that consumers spent $257 Billion on home grocery delivery with an estimate of $422B in 2028. This is up from $3 Billion in 2008, when we started local grocery delivery. It is not surprising that every venture capitalist and large retail chain is willing to lose millions to take over what was once a local, hometown industry. Whether it is large retailers, online behemoths, or California based outsourcing startups, one thing is constant with all of these companies: profit over people. In an attempt to squeeze out the local services, they believe they will be the benefactors of the future. What they don't get is that people count and values matter. How we differ is our local business puts the customer's needs first. Thank you for visiting us and we look forward to servicing you soon.
OUR VISION
When we envisioned WeDeliverGroceries.com it was more than an idea to deliver groceries. Our focus was on helping people, the community, and the environment, while establishing a business based on honesty and integrity.
People:
We pride ourselves on the importance of people, both our professional shoppers and cherished customers. Offering our customers the choice of stores and the transparency of up-front published pricing along with the store receipt demonstrates the value we place on being trustworthy to our clients. To ensure only the highest quality associates, our professional shoppers are carefully screened, trained and afforded the opportunity to grow and advance within our organization. We don't use gig workers or crowd-sourced drivers. We don't believe in jeopardizing the security of our customers by having workers that deliver groceries one day, drive for ride-share the next, and who knows what else after that. We develop our people to build a career, not just to be paid for a delivery or a day.
Community:
The Tampa Bay Area community takes care of us each and every day. It is our responsibility to give back to the community. We have established a non-profit 501(c)(3), We Deliver Groceries Outreach, Inc.,a nonprofit 501(c)(3), to do just that. Through our non-profit we can assist those who need our service, but can't afford grocery delivery.
TESTIMONIALS
Thank you for your service. I am very pleased that the shopper got everything just right and stocked all of the items at my house. My sister-in-law dropped something off at the house after you had delivered the groceries and was very impressed with your service. My son was very grateful to have food waiting for him so he had more time to enjoy his short break.
